Registered Nurse – Oncology
Position Overview
Join the oncology team at the facility in Duluth, Georgia as a Registered Nurse. You'll provide direct patient care to hematology-oncology patients, with a focus on chemotherapy administration and supportive nursing in an outpatient setting.
Schedule & Contract
- Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (8-hour days)
- Contract Duration: 96 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
- Holiday Expectations: You must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day) plus 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent, direct oncology nursing experience
- AHA BLS certification
- NIH certification
- Chemotherapy certification and demonstrated ability to administer chemotherapy
Preferred Qualifications
- ICU experience
- Prior oncology experience beyond the minimum
- Trauma care exposure
What You'll Do
- Administer chemotherapy safely and accurately per protocol
- Provide compassionate care to patients receiving cancer treatment
- Monitor patients for side effects and adverse reactions
- Collaborate with oncologists, support staff, and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain detailed, accurate patient records
- Ensure a safe, clean clinical environment
