Oncology RN – Radiation Oncology

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Oncology RN for its Radiation Oncology department. You'll support patients undergoing cancer treatment in a focused clinical setting, working alongside a multidisciplinary oncology team.

Schedule & Contract

  • Shift: 10-hour days, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM (schedule varies)
  • Contract Duration: 96 weeks
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer chemotherapy to patients in the radiation oncology setting
  • Provide direct patient care and symptom management
  • Assist with treatment planning and patient education
  • Monitor for treatment-related side effects and complications
  • Collaborate with oncologists, physicists, and support staff

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of recent oncology nursing experience
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Chemotherapy certification and demonstrated ability to administer chemotherapy
  • Valid RN license

Holiday Expectations

You must work 2 of the following major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day. You must also work 1 of the following minor holidays: the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve.
