Oncology RN – Radiation Oncology
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Oncology RN for its Radiation Oncology department. You'll support patients undergoing cancer treatment in a focused clinical setting, working alongside a multidisciplinary oncology team.
Schedule & Contract
- Shift: 10-hour days, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM (schedule varies)
- Contract Duration: 96 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Key Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy to patients in the radiation oncology setting
- Provide direct patient care and symptom management
- Assist with treatment planning and patient education
- Monitor for treatment-related side effects and complications
- Collaborate with oncologists, physicists, and support staff
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent oncology nursing experience
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- Chemotherapy certification and demonstrated ability to administer chemotherapy
- Valid RN license
Holiday Expectations
You must work 2 of the following major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day. You must also work 1 of the following minor holidays: the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve.
