Neuro Telemetry RN — Nights | Lubbock, TX | 13-Week Contract

This Neuro Telemetry unit provides specialized care for patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical diagnoses in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. First-time travelers with at least one year of experience are welcome to apply.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts
• 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule; no on-call required
• Float between sister facilities may be required; refusal to float may impact guaranteed hours

Patient Population & Clinical Scope

• TIA/Stroke (Comprehensive Stroke Center)
• Neurosurgical patients: ACDF, TLIF, XLIF, craniotomy, subdural hematoma
• Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (dedicated EEG monitoring beds)
• Spinal cord injury, intracranial bleeds, substance withdrawal, post-TPA care
• Most admissions arrive from the ED, ICU, or PACU

Key Clinical Skills

• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Telemetry and remote monitoring
• Peripheral line care, non-invasive airway management
• Rapid Response/Code team utilization
• Isolation precautions/PPE

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience (Neuro/Tele preferred)
• BLS required
• Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission
• 2 professional references covering the past 3 years required

Additional Details

• Dress code: Solid navy blue scrubs (licensed nursing staff)
• Dedicated mentors available to support new travelers
• Interdisciplinary team includes Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy, Pharmacy, Respiratory Services, and Social Work
• Candidates must commit to 3 of 5 designated holidays
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront
