Oncology Infusion Nurse – Gynecologic Oncology
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a chemo-certified infusion nurse to join the gynecologic oncology infusion unit. You'll provide direct patient care in a 16-chair infusion clinic setting, supporting patients receiving chemotherapy and supportive IV therapies.
Schedule & Contract
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday–Friday
- Schedule: 4 days x 10 hours per week
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- No weekends or major holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy, IV hydration, and electrolyte replacements
- Access and manage Port-A-Cath and peripheral IV lines using sterile technique
- Obtain vital signs, height, and weight
- Draw labs from central or peripheral lines
- Provide compassionate care to oncology patients throughout their infusion experience
Requirements
- Chemotherapy Certification by an ONS-approved provider (required prior to start)
- Current nursing license
- Demonstrated experience administering chemotherapy
- Strong sterile technique and IV access skills
Unit Details
- No unit secretaries or techs; you'll manage your own documentation and workflow
- Opportunity to float to the transplant infusion unit (with prior orientation)
- Solid-colored scrubs in navy, lavender, pink, black, or teal
