Cardiac Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Chattanooga, TN
13-week contract | Start: September 28, 2026 | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
This cardiac telemetry unit cares for a medical cardiology patient population requiring continuous monitoring and vasoactive drip management. The role demands solid cardiac knowledge and comfort with a high-acuity step-down patient load.
Clinical Scope
- Continuous telemetry monitoring with rhythm strip documentation each shift
- Vasoactive and cardiac drip management: Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone
- Chest tube management, wound vac management, and ad hoc EKGs
- Supportive staffing includes PCTs and a nursing supervisor on all shifts
Scheduling
- 36 guaranteed hours per week; 12-hour night shifts
- Every-other-weekend commitment (approximately 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule)
- Float rotation to general Med/Surg, Orthopedics, PCU, and Med/Surg Surgical/Oncology unless skill mix requires otherwise
Required Certifications
- BLS and ACLS (required)
Required Skills
- Cardiac telemetry experience
- Proficiency with vasoactive cardiac drips listed above
Dress Code
- RN: Navy scrubs
- Solid white, blue, grey, or black undershirt permitted (no graphics)
- No artificial, gel nails, or gel nail polish

- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
