Travel RN – Labor & Delivery | Dallas, TX | Nights | 13 Weeks

This high-risk Labor & Delivery unit operates within a dedicated women's hospital setting, managing a high-volume, high-acuity obstetrical population. The unit follows AWHONN staffing ratios the majority of the time, with assignments structured by acuity level.

Shift & Schedule

  • Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Three 12-hour shifts per week; 36 guaranteed hours
  • Weekend rotation required (frequency discussed at interview)
  • Call requirements discussed at interview
  • 48-hour contracts are not available

Clinical Scope

  • Vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, and post-delivery recovery
  • Cervical ripening, , active labor, pitocin management, and magnesium patients (stable and unstable)
  • Circulating in the OR for c-sections and recovering high-acuity postpartum patients
  • Float coverage to the antepartum unit as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of high-risk Labor & Delivery bedside experience
  • Experience circulating in c-sections and managing high-acuity obstetrical patients
  • Intermediate AWHONN fetal monitoring certification required
  • Active RN license applicable to Texas

Dress Code & Appearance

  • Scrub color per unit guidelines
  • No artificial, gel, or next-gen nails
  • Hair must be neat and pulled back if shoulder-length or longer
  • Visible piercings limited to ears; body art should be covered when feasible
