Med/Surg Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Greensboro, NC
Contract: 26 weeks (no 13-week option; full 26-week commitment required if offered)
Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Schedule: Every other weekend, holiday rotation
Start Date: September 28, 2026
About the Unit
This telemetry-capable Med/Surg unit cares for a primarily adult and geriatric medical/surgical patient population. All RNs must demonstrate EKG interpretation competency and will be tested during onboarding (two attempts allowed).
Clinical Responsibilities
- Blood product administration and peripheral line care
- Starting and maintaining IVs; PICC line management
- Heparin, insulin, and PCA management
- Nasal cannula oxygen therapy
- BiPAP/CPAP management
- Feeding tube and colostomy/ileostomy care
- Wound care and wound vac management; surgical drain care
- Isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Participation in Rapid Response teams
Additional Expectations
- Charge RN coverage required as needed (prior charge experience required)
- Float to other campus locations as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Prior charge RN experience required
- Active RN license in hand at time of submission
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- EKG interpretation proficiency required
- Must pass facility EKG compliance exam during onboarding
- No local candidates within 50 miles
- COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
