Med/Surg Telemetry RN — Travel Contract | Greensboro, NC
Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: October 5, 2026
Schedule: Every other weekend required; holidays as needed
About the Unit
This telemetry-capable Med/Surg unit primarily serves an adult and geriatric population across a broad range of diagnoses, including general medical/surgical, respiratory conditions, diabetes management, surgical observation, palliative/end-of-life/hospice care, and psychiatric observation. Float to other campuses may be required when census is low.
Clinical Skills Required
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management; telemetry monitoring
- BiPAP/CPAP management
- Blood product administration
- Chest tube, surgical drain, and wound care/wound vac management
- PICC line and peripheral IV care
- Feeding tube and colostomy/ileostomy care
- Pre/post hemodialysis management
- Rapid Response/Code team participation
- Isolation precautions/PPE
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers welcome
- Active RN license in hand at time of submission
- Certifications: BLS (required), ACLS, NIHSS
- Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
- No local candidates within 50 miles
- COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Previous Charge RN experience preferred
Orientation: 48 hours
Requested Time Off: Must be submitted with application; no post-submission RTO accepted
