Med/Surg Telemetry RN — Travel Contract | Greensboro, NC

Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: October 5, 2026

Schedule: Every other weekend required; holidays as needed

About the Unit

This telemetry-capable Med/Surg unit primarily serves an adult and geriatric population across a broad range of diagnoses, including general medical/surgical, respiratory conditions, diabetes management, surgical observation, palliative/end-of-life/hospice care, and psychiatric observation. Float to other campuses may be required when census is low.

Clinical Skills Required

  • Dysrhythmia interpretation and management; telemetry monitoring
  • BiPAP/CPAP management
  • Blood product administration
  • Chest tube, surgical drain, and wound care/wound vac management
  • PICC line and peripheral IV care
  • Feeding tube and colostomy/ileostomy care
  • Pre/post hemodialysis management
  • Rapid Response/Code team participation
  • Isolation precautions/PPE

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers welcome
  • Active RN license in hand at time of submission
  • Certifications: BLS (required), ACLS, NIHSS
  • Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
  • No local candidates within 50 miles
  • COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
  • Previous Charge RN experience preferred

Orientation: 48 hours
