PACU Nurse – Travel Assignment
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) Nurse for a 13-week travel contract. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced recovery environment, monitoring and managing patients in the immediate post-operative period.
Schedule
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours/week)
- 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM
- Consistent weekly schedule
Requirements
- Minimum 18 months of PACU nursing experience required
- Current RN license (state-specific)
- PALS certification preferred
- Travel nursing experience preferred
What You'll Do
Monitor post-operative patients during recovery, assess vital signs and pain levels, manage drains and catheters, administer medications, and communicate with surgical and anesthesia teams. You'll work with patients across all surgical specialties in a collaborative, dynamic setting.
