Sleep Technologist – Polysomnography | Nights | Bridgeport, WV
This 13-week contract places an experienced Sleep Technologist in an acute care sleep lab managing a focused patient population with a range of complex sleep and respiratory disorders.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour nights: 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM
- Weekends as scheduled; no holiday or call/standby requirements
- No self-scheduling; some flexibility with day arrangements
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
Patient Population & Clinical Scope
The unit serves patients with obstructive and central sleep apnea, obesity hypoventilation syndrome, COPD, oxygen dependency, cardiology-related sleep disorders, and REM behavior disorders. Therapeutic modalities include CPAP, BiPAP, and ASV. Patient ratios are 2:1 or 1:1 depending on acuity.
Required Qualifications
- RPSGT (via BRPT) and RRT-SDS or CRT-SDS (via NBRC)
- BLS certification
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a CPSGT or RPSGT
- Minimum 2–3 completed travel assignments; no prior canceled contracts
- Proficiency in sleep study scoring and NATUS Sleep Works software, including MPR home units
Additional Details
- No charge nurse assignment, no nurse aides, no telemetry on unit
- No floating requirements
- Scrubs: navy blue
- Orientation includes one all-day education session, one online module, and HR badging
- Cancellation policy: up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract
Candidates must hold an active license and meet all certification requirements prior to submission.
