Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN for a 18-week contract (13 weeks also available) to provide winter coverage. You'll deliver direct patient care on a busy med/surg telemetry unit with the potential to float to related units caring for similar patient populations.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour rotating shifts: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM (day) and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM (night)
• Shifts may rotate as needed to meet operational demands; the facility will work to honor your preferred schedule when possible
• You must be willing to work at least every other holiday

Requirements

• 12 months of permanent experience in medical/surgical telemetry or a related specialty
• Active RN license: Ohio state or compact state license in hand at time of application
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• One reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director (required; no peer references)
• References must be from assignments within the past 12 months
• Pass background check; no open cases or license hits accepted
• BCI/FBI prints must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing

Onboarding

During orientation you will complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment. Both are required to pass; you have a maximum of two attempts.

Extensions

You may extend for up to 18 months; a 6-month break is then required before returning (client may waive on a case-by-case basis).
