Operating Room – Travel Assignment
Location: Reston, VA
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
About the Role
Join a busy surgical services team in a 18-room operating room. You'll work alongside RNs, surgical technologists, and charge nurses in a collaborative, fast-paced environment supporting high-acuity surgical cases.
Clinical Focus
This OR handles a diverse surgical portfolio including:
- Orthopedic surgery (general, total joint replacement, spine fusion, trauma)
- Neurosurgery
- General, gynecologic, and urologic procedures
- Vascular and thoracic cases
- Robotic-assisted procedures (DaVinci)
Level 2 trauma cases are a significant component of the workload.
What You'll Need
- Required: Level 2 trauma experience; current BLS and relevant state/federal certifications (CST, RN license, or equivalent based on your role)
- Preferred: Advanced spine and orthopedic expertise
- Personality: Team player mentality in a high-demand setting
Scheduling & Expectations
- Day shift with scrub and circulator responsibilities
- Weekend and night coverage required to support vacancies
- On-call: approximately four 12-hour shifts per 8-week rotation
- May float to OB OR as needed
- Scrubs provided by the facility
