Progressive Care Unit – Registered Nurse
About the Role
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract in the Progressive Care Unit. You'll work the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and be part of a dedicated team caring for patients with neuro and trauma diagnoses.
Unit Overview
Clinical Responsibilities
Your day-to-day work includes:
- Neuro and spinal assessments
- C-collar placement and TLSO brace management
- Chest tube and PCA pump management
- Lumbar drain care
- Feeding tube placement and blood transfusions
- IV infusions and patient monitoring on ventilators and trachs
Requirements
- Current RN license
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications (required)
- Demonstrated neuro and trauma care experience
- Team-player mentality with strong patient focus
What to Expect
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend rotation
- Navy blue scrubs
- Possible float assignments to stepdown and med-surg units
- 13-week contract beginning August 24, 2026
