Emergency Department | Night Shift | Asheville, NC
This 13-week contract places you in a high-volume, fast-paced Emergency Department serving a richly diverse, multicultural community. The department handles the full spectrum of emergency acuity, including trauma, comprehensive stroke, and complex medical presentations.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 18:45–07:15
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Block scheduling is not available; schedule must flex to meet department needs
Floating
No floating outside the ED; however, you must be willing to rotate across all sections within the department.
Required Certifications (before start date)
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
- ENPC within 90 days of hire
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 2 years of RN experience, with a minimum of 1 year in an ED setting
- Prior experience in a high-volume, trauma/stroke emergency setting strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work in all areas of the ED
- Teamwork-oriented with the ability to coach and give real-time feedback

The team is known for its collaborative, welcoming atmosphere and takes pride in serving patients from more than 120 languages spoken in the surrounding community. Patient experience is a priority — staff are expected to follow AIDET communication standards and keep patients and boards updated throughout each visit.
Dress Code: Navy scrubs
