Registered Nurse

Emergency Room RN — San Antonio, TX | 13-Week Contract

This fast-paced emergency department manages a diverse patient population across a broad acuity range, including sepsis, stroke (TPA administration), chest pain/cardiac alerts, behavioral health cases, and trauma presentations.

Assignment Details

• Shift: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM (rotating)
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 8, 2026

Clinical Scope

Nurses in this unit participate in conscious sedation, intubations, behavioral health watch, sepsis management, stroke care including TPA administration, and cardiac alert protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience
• PALS or ENPC, ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and NIHSS — all required

Preferred Qualifications

• CEN certification
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Float Requirement

All travelers are required to float per facility policy. This will be discussed during the interview process.

Dress Code

• Scrubs: Navy; undershirts and jackets in white, navy, or black only
• No acrylic nails; nails must be clean, short, and chip-free
• Hair off shoulders, natural color
• Visible piercings limited to ears; tattoos covered when feasible
