PICU
Travel RN – Pediatric ICU | Wichita, KS
This is a 13-week travel contract in a Pediatric ICU caring for critically ill children in an active teaching environment. The unit is staffed with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team including intensivists, respiratory therapists, case management, and dietary support across both day and night shifts.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 07:00–19:00
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
Clinical Scope
The PICU manages high-acuity pediatric patients requiring close monitoring and intensive intervention. Common procedures include IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements. The unit operates in a teaching hospital setting with a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care PICU RN experience
- Active BLS and PALS certifications
Preferred Qualifications
- CRRT experience
- APHON certification
- Prior pediatric teaching hospital experience
