Labor & Delivery RN — Travel Contract | Austin, TX

This 13-week seasonal contract places you in an active Labor & Delivery unit managing a full spectrum of obstetric care, from routine vaginal deliveries to complex surgical and high-risk cases.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekends
• No call requirements
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Clinical Scope

The unit handles spontaneous vaginal deliveries, cerclages, cesarean sections, and TOLAC cases. You'll work alongside charge and co-charge nurse leadership on every shift, supporting patients across a range of acuity levels in a high-volume obstetric environment.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE certifications
• Intermediate/continuous fetal monitoring competency (EFM)
• Sterile vaginal exam (SVE) competency
• C-section circulation experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Internal fetal monitor placement competency
• Experience in a high-volume L&D setting
• Previous assignment at an HCA facility

Dress Code

• Navy blue scrubs
• Solid blue, black, or grey sweatshirts only — no t-shirts
