Medical-Surgical RN — Kansas City, Missouri

Nights | 13-Week Contract

This Med-Surg unit in Kansas City provides care for a general medical-surgical population with a focus on patient-centered, relationship-based care. Staff practice AIDET principles, conduct bedside shift reports, and perform hourly rounding to maintain strong patient connections throughout each shift.

Shift & Schedule

• 19:00–07:00 (12-hour nights)
• 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
• 48 hours guaranteed per week
• Floating per facility policy

Clinical Scope

Procedures performed on this unit include IV insertion, Foley and external urinary catheter placement, wound care, post-operative care, trach care, NG tube and feeding tube management, and bladder scanning. Support staff includes a unit secretary and patient care technicians on each shift.

Requirements

• Active Missouri RN license
• BLS certification

Dress Code

Navy blue scrub top with navy or black scrub pants. Undershirts and scrub jackets must be navy, white, or black. No sweatshirts or track jackets.
