Labor & Delivery RN — Irving, TX | 13-Week Contract
A busy Labor & Delivery unit in Irving, TX is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week travel assignment. This is a day-shift position supporting active L&D care with no on-call requirements.
Shift Details
- Hours: 06:45–19:00
- Schedule: Day shift with 4 weekend shifts per month
- Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
- Start Date: July 20, 2026
Clinical Scope
The unit provides comprehensive labor and delivery care, including circulating C-sections. Nurses work in a structured, team-supported environment with unit tech coverage each shift and unit secretary support on days.
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of L&D RN experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, FM, and AWHONN certifications
Preferred Qualifications
- RNC certification
- Prior L&D travel or high-volume delivery experience
Floating
Floating required as needed per unit policy.
Dress Code
- Scrubs provided by the facility
- Nails must be clean and healthy
- Hair neat and professional; no extreme styles or colors
- Visible piercings limited to ears only
- Tattoos should be covered when feasible
This role is well-suited for an experienced L&D nurse comfortable in a fast-paced delivery environment with strong C-section circulating skills.
