Physical Therapist – Inpatient Rehabilitation

Position Overview

Join an inpatient physical therapy department in Manchester, NH, for an 12-week contract assignment. You'll deliver evaluations and treatment to acute-care patients in a busy, collaborative setting.

Shift & Schedule

• Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (flexible start between 7:00–8:00 AM)
• Full-time, 36 guaranteed hours per week
• One weekend shift per month (self-selected)
• Monday–Friday core schedule with Monday–Friday primary need
• Daily assignments typically limited to 1–2 floors

Clinical Scope

You'll work with approximately 10 patients per 8-hour day, primarily in acute care. The patient population includes high volumes of cardiac, vascular, and orthopedic diagnoses. Vestibular experience is preferred but not required. The team floats to cover all inpatient units and the ED as needed (NICU excluded).

Unit Environment

The department includes PT, OT, and speech therapy staff under a Therapy Director. You'll have access to basic rehabilitation equipment including portable parallel bars, portable stairs, Sara Stedy, ceiling lifts, and hydraulic lifts. Documentation is completed in the facility's EHR system.

Requirements

• Current New Hampshire Physical Therapy License (must be in hand at time of application)
• BLS certification
