Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist for a 26-week contract assignment. You'll work day shifts (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) in a busy mammography department serving adult and geriatric patients.

Clinical Scope

You will perform screening and diagnostic mammograms, 3D mammography, stereotactic biopsies, and needle localizations. Your responsibilities include digital quality assurance procedures, patient education on breast self-exams, radiation safety compliance, and adherence to isolation precautions and universal precautions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of mammography experience (charge/lead experience preferred)
  • Current California license (compact license accepted)
  • ARRT certifications: ARRT(M), ARRT(R), and BLS
  • Travel experience required
  • Two professional references covering the past year

Schedule & Expectations

  • Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday
  • 26-week contract
  • You may be asked to float to nearby sister facilities; flexibility is essential
  • Must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • All scheduling requests and time-off must be submitted upfront during the application process

What to Know

Orientation includes 40 hours of onboarding. Pre-start modules (approximately 16 hours) are non-billable and completed before your first day. The facility will provide necessary communication devices.
