About the Role
The facility seeks an experienced Surgery RN to deliver comprehensive care to patients undergoing operative and invasive procedures. You will address the psychological, socio-cultural, and educational needs of surgical patients and their support persons throughout their perioperative journey—from the moment they learn about their procedure through their return to daily life.
Position Details
- Specialty: Operating Room / Surgery
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, day shift with rotating weekends
- Schedule: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 5, 2026
- Location: Atlantic, IA
What You'll Do
Provide direct surgical nursing care in a fast-paced operative environment. Collaborate with surgical teams and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and a supportive experience for patients and their families.
Requirements
- Current RN license (Iowa)
- OR nursing experience
- Strong communication and patient education skills
