PCU / Stepdown

Progressive Care / Intermediate Care Unit — Night Shift | Atlanta, GA

This 16-week contract places you in a cardiac-focused Progressive Care/Intermediate Care Unit, caring for a complex patient population that includes STEMI, NSTEMI, chest pain, and post-cardiac surgery cases. The unit also manages patients on vasoactive and inotropic drips, including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and vasopressors.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3×12-hour shifts per week
• Guaranteed 36 hours weekly

Patient Population & Scope

• High-acuity cardiac patients (STEMI, NSTEMI, cardiac surgery, chest pain)
• Management of cardiac drips and hemodynamic monitoring
• May float to telemetry beds within the same unit for lower-acuity assignments

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of PCU/IMCU experience (must be documented in work history)
• BLS and ACLS required
• Experience in a comparable clinical setting required
