Radiology Technologist

Location: Elizabethtown, KY

Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (5 × 8-hour days)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role

The facility's radiology department is seeking a Radiology Technologist to provide diagnostic imaging services and support physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. You'll perform a variety of radiographic examinations, prioritize patient safety and comfort, and maintain the highest standards of image quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general radiographic examinations, fluoroscopy, and specialized imaging procedures according to physician orders
• Position patients appropriately, explain procedures clearly, and ensure their comfort and understanding throughout the imaging process
• Operate radiographic equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images, adjusting exposure settings and positioning techniques as needed
• Apply radiation safety principles and ALARA guidelines to minimize patient and staff exposure
• Review images for quality, proper positioning, and exposure clarity
• Conduct equipment quality control tests and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
• Document examination details, patient demographics, and imaging findings in the medical record
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and nursing staff to coordinate care and communicate results effectively

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Technology Program
• Active ARRT Certification
• Active licensure through the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy
• BLS Certification
• Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, equipment operation, and radiation safety
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
