Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse – 13-Week Travel Assignment

Position Overview

The facility's cardiac catheterization laboratory is seeking an experienced RN to join the team on a 13-week assignment. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced interventional environment, managing recovery and monitoring for diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures.

Shift & Schedule

  • Day shift: 3x12-hour (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
  • On-call: 1–2 nights per week
  • Weekend coverage: 1 weekend every 4–6 weeks
  • No float requirement
  • Self-scheduling model

Clinical Scope

You'll support the recovery and monitoring of patients undergoing:

  • Left and right heart catheterizations
  • Percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI)
  • Electrophysiology procedures (pacemakers, BiV, AICD, cryoablation)
  • Structural heart procedures
  • Complex coronary interventions (CTOs, PFOs)

Daily census averages 12 patients. You'll work alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary team including respiratory therapy, interventional cardiology, pharmacy, and rapid response resources.

Requirements

  • Active California RN license (must be in hand at submission; no pending or temporary licenses)
  • 2+ years of cardiac catheterization lab experience
  • 1+ year of ICU, ER, or PACU experience
  • ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Flu vaccination required during flu season
  • Two professional references (supervisor level or higher) from within the past year, submitted at time of application
  • First-time travelers welcome

Contract Details

13-week assignment starting September 29, 2026. Maximum 10 days paid time off; none permitted during the first two weeks.
