Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse – 13-Week Travel Assignment
Position Overview
The facility's cardiac catheterization laboratory is seeking an experienced RN to join the team on a 13-week assignment. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced interventional environment, managing recovery and monitoring for diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures.
Shift & Schedule
- Day shift: 3x12-hour (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
- On-call: 1–2 nights per week
- Weekend coverage: 1 weekend every 4–6 weeks
- No float requirement
- Self-scheduling model
Clinical Scope
You'll support the recovery and monitoring of patients undergoing:
- Left and right heart catheterizations
- Percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI)
- Electrophysiology procedures (pacemakers, BiV, AICD, cryoablation)
- Structural heart procedures
- Complex coronary interventions (CTOs, PFOs)
Daily census averages 12 patients. You'll work alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary team including respiratory therapy, interventional cardiology, pharmacy, and rapid response resources.
Requirements
- Active California RN license (must be in hand at submission; no pending or temporary licenses)
- 2+ years of cardiac catheterization lab experience
- 1+ year of ICU, ER, or PACU experience
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Flu vaccination required during flu season
- Two professional references (supervisor level or higher) from within the past year, submitted at time of application

Contract Details
13-week assignment starting September 29, 2026. Maximum 10 days paid time off; none permitted during the first two weeks.
