MRI Technologist – Day Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 13-week contract, day shift, 4 x 10-hour schedule (7:00 AM or 8:30 AM start).
Clinical Scope
You'll perform a wide range of MRI procedures including neuro, musculoskeletal, abdominal imaging, MRCPs, and breast exams. You will not perform cardiac imaging. The facility operates GE 1.5T systems and serves adult and geriatric patient populations.
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- Valid California Radiologic Technologist license (in hand at submission)
- ARRT(R) in Radiology
- ARRT(R)(MRI) preferred
- BLS certification required
- California IV certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI imaging procedures with proficiency in contrast media administration
- Execute image post-processing techniques (ADC mapping, subtraction, MIP, MRP)
- Operate PACS systems
- Insert peripheral IVs as needed
- Maintain high-quality imaging standards in a collaborative team environment
Scheduling & Expectations
- Weekend call required: Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (usually staffed)
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- May be required to float to nearby facilities; refusal may result in assignment termination
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted up-front during the application process
