Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN for 18-week winter coverage (13-week contracts also considered). You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced med/surg telemetry unit, with potential to float to other units serving the same patient population.

Schedule & Duration

• Shift: 3x12-hour rotating (day: 7:00 am–7:30 pm; night: 7:00 pm–7:30 am)
• Contract: 18 weeks
• Start Date: October 5, 2026
• Holiday Coverage: Must work at least every other holiday
• Note: Shifts may rotate as needed to meet operational demands; the facility will make every effort to honor your preferred shift when possible.

Requirements

• Current Ohio nursing license or compact state license (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 12 months of permanent RN experience in medical-surgical telemetry
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• One manager or supervisor reference from specialty experience within the past 12 months
• Willingness to complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation (passing scores required)

Clinical Scope

You'll monitor and care for medical-surgical patients on telemetry, performing assessments, medication administration, and patient education. Competency with cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring is essential.

Background & Compliance

• Background check and criminal history clearance required (BCI/FBI prints due within 48 hours of contract signing)
• No open background cases or licensure hits accepted
• Drug screening required
