Labor & Delivery RN – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN for the night shift to provide care across Labor & Delivery, Post-Partum, and Baby Unit. This is a 13-week contract position starting October 5, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive obstetric and neonatal nursing care during night hours
- Float to other units as needed to support facility operations
- Manage overflow from the Progressive Care Unit as required
- Participate in department quarterly education sessions
Requirements
- Current RN license (Vermont)
- Labor & Delivery or OB/GYN nursing experience preferred
- Flexibility to work nights and rotate to other units
- Personal transportation strongly recommended due to limited public transit
Schedule & Hours
- Night shift position
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract

Newport, Vermont, located in the Northeast Kingdom near the Canadian border. The area offers outdoor recreation including hiking, skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling, with a peaceful community lifestyle.
