Radiology Technologist
Position Summary
The facility seeks an experienced Radiology Technologist to perform and process radiographic (including portable) and fluoroscopic imaging studies. You'll work in a fast-paced environment supporting both routine and intraoperative imaging needs.
Shift & Schedule
- 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday
- Flexible start time between 6:15 AM and 7:00 AM
- 56-week contract
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program
- Current Radiology Technologist certification
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) — renewed every two years
- Previous radiology technician experience required
- Basic computer skills
- Physical ability to lift, move, and position patients and equipment
- Ability to communicate clearly and document accurately
- Positive attitude and ability to work well under stress
Key Responsibilities
- Perform radiological tests with appropriate skill and efficiency
- Obtain images using proper technique and transfer to PACS
- Document all tests and procedures via computer
- Assist with clinical and office functions, including surgical support, anesthesia aide assistance, and materials management
- Monitor radiology supplies and equipment; maintain lead apron logs and report malfunctions
- Coordinate with Clinical Supervisor and Nurse Manager on daily OR schedules to ensure adequate radiology coverage
- Apply aseptic technique during surgical procedures
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient records and information
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, move, and position patients; hear verbal communications clearly.
