Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

About the Role

Perform ultrasound procedures to assist in the diagnosis of medical conditions. You'll work in a fast-paced clinical setting, using ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality sonograms and communicate findings to support patient care.

Position Details

  • Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: September 21, 2026

Requirements

  • Certification: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification required at hire. OB/GYN registration with RDMS required within 1 year.
  • BLS: Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification; renewal every 2 years.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; specialized training in ultrasonic technology or on-the-job training with a registered sonographer preferred.
  • Experience: One year performing ultrasound procedures in a hospital, clinic, or physician's office preferred.

Key Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Proficiency with ultrasound equipment, protocols, and safety standards.
  • Ability to recognize normal and pathological findings.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Capability to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine adjustments.
  • Familiarity with coding guidelines and physician office procedures.

Supervision

General supervision from the Practice Manager.
