Emergency Department RN — Travel Contract

Wichita, KS | 16-Week Contract | Nights

This is a travel nursing opportunity in a fast-paced Emergency Department in Wichita, Kansas. The unit manages a broad range of acuity, from routine urgent care presentations to critically ill and high-acuity patients requiring rapid stabilization and intervention.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No call
• 2 out of 3 holiday commitment
• 36 guaranteed hours per week

Contract Details

• Duration: 16 weeks
• Anticipated start: October 4, 2026
• Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active RN license (must be verifiable via Nursys)
• EKG competency exam required prior to start
• Specialty exam and core competency assessment required at onboarding
• Skills checklist required at submission

Health & Compliance Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccine
• MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Influenza vaccine
• 2-Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-Spot)
• Fit test
• 12-panel drug screen
• Background check, EPLS, and OFAC screening

Submission Requirements

• Two professional references
• Current nursing license verification
• Completed skills checklist

This position is filling a vacant permanent role, making reliability and clinical competency especially important. Strong ED assessment skills and comfort with high-volume, high-acuity patient populations are essential.
