Medical ICU – Day Shift

Position Overview

The facility's Medical ICU is a fast-paced, high-acuity unit caring for critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and intervention. You'll provide direct care to patients with sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, alcohol use disorder, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy.

Shift & Schedule

  • Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour days)
  • Days per Week: 3
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 weekly
  • Contract Duration: 16 weeks
  • Start Date: September 21, 2026

Requirements

  • 3+ years of ICU nursing experience
  • Current RN license (state-specific)
  • ACLS and BLS certification
  • Proficiency with mechanical ventilation and hemodynamic monitoring (central lines, arterial lines)
  • Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment

What You'll Do

Manage critically ill patients on ventilators and vasoactive drips. Perform frequent hemodynamic assessments, titrate medications, coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and provide compassionate end-of-life care. This role demands strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly to rapid changes in patient status.
