Medical ICU – Night Shift

Position Overview

Join the Medical ICU team for a night shift role (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This 16-week contract offers 36 guaranteed hours weekly.

Unit & Patient Population

The Medical ICU manages complex, critically ill patients with conditions including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, alcohol and substance use disorders, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy. You'll provide skilled nursing care in a dynamic setting requiring strong clinical judgment and collaborative teamwork.

Requirements

• 3+ years nursing experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Proficiency with mechanical ventilation and IV infusions
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

What to Expect

Night shift work in an ICU setting; you'll manage complex patient needs, titrate medications and drips, monitor hemodynamics, and respond to rapid changes in patient status. Strong communication and critical thinking skills are essential.
