Labor & Delivery RN — Nights | Syracuse, NY

This is a 13-week travel contract in a high-risk regional perinatal unit, managing a high volume of births — averaging 10 or more per day. The unit supports patients through labor, delivery, and up to two hours of recovery before transfer to the postpartum unit. The unit also includes , same-day admit, OR, and PACU capabilities, making OR circulating experience a strong asset.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No blocked scheduling

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• 3+ years preferred, with OR circulating experience strongly preferred

Clinical Scope

Nurses on this unit care for high-acuity antepartum and intrapartum patients in a regional perinatal setting. Responsibilities span active labor management, fetal monitoring, emergency response, and participation in OR cases as needed.
