Emergency Department RN — Tuscaloosa, AL
13-Week Contract | Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
A busy Emergency Department in Tuscaloosa, AL is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week travel assignment. The ED provides comprehensive emergency medical services to all age groups, staffed around the clock by a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week guaranteed (48 hours accepted)
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays as required
Clinical Scope
This high-volume ED manages a broad acuity range — from critical and trauma presentations to moderate-acuity cases. You will work alongside a skilled team in a fast-paced environment serving patients across all age groups.
Float Requirement
Must be willing to float to other units and hospital locations as needed.
Required Certifications
- AHA BLS
- AHA ACLS
- AHA PALS
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIH or Red Cross)
- TNCC
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (minimum)
Licensure
- Active Alabama RN license or valid Compact license required
- Temporary licenses not accepted
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
- Candidates with 18 months of experience working at the highest level of professional licensure may be considered
