Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility's Labor and Delivery unit is seeking experienced RNs for 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). This is a 13-week contract assignment.
Schedule & Requirements
- Three 12-hour night shifts per week
- Must reside at least 100 miles away
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license (state/district)
- Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- BLS, ACLS, and CPI certifications
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
- BSN highly desired
Clinical Scope
You'll care for patients across the perinatal spectrum: pregnant patients (17+ weeks gestation), active labor, and those presenting for evaluation. The unit manages vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, external cephalic versions, and other scheduled procedures. Daily responsibilities include admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-operative care, and delivery support. You'll work with fetal monitoring equipment and electronic documentation systems.
