Night Shift RN – Orthopedic Unit

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced RN for its orthopedic unit on a 16-week contract. You'll work 12-hour night shifts (7 PM–7 AM) with flexibility in scheduling: 36 or 48 hours per week available. Expect one weekend shift per week or two every other week, plus at least one holiday during the contract.

Unit & Clinical Scope

This orthopedic unit cares for post-operative and acute orthopedic patients requiring skilled nursing assessment and care coordination.

Requirements

• Active New York RN license
• AHA BLS and NIH certifications
• Minimum 2 years recent acute medical-surgical, telemetry, neurology, and orthopedic experience
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for international candidates
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Key Expectations

• Float to other units as needed based on facility needs
• Willingness to assume charge nurse responsibilities (training provided if needed)
• Schedule flexibility; block booking may be requested but is not guaranteed
• Must work at least one holiday during the contract term
