Labor & Delivery RN — Nights | Syracuse, NY | 13-Week Contract
This position supports a high-risk regional perinatal unit managing a high-acuity obstetric population with an average of 10 or more births per day. Nurses provide continuous care through active labor and up to two hours of recovery before transfer to the postpartum unit. OR circulating experience is a strong asset in this setting.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend (EOW)
- No blocked scheduling
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start date: September 21, 2026
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of L&D experience with OR circulating background
- Prior experience in a high-risk obstetric environment
Clinical Scope
- High-risk antepartum and intrapartum care
- OR circulating for cesarean deliveries
- Recovery care through the immediate postpartum period
