Labor & Delivery RN — Travel Contract

Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 16-Week Contract | Fullerton, CA

This active Labor & Delivery unit manages an average of 6–8 deliveries per day, caring for a diverse patient population including high-risk antepartum, preterm labor, preeclampsia, TOLAC/VBAC, multiples, and labor induction cases. Travelers may be asked to float to the mother-baby unit.

Schedule & Logistics

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend, may increase to meet unit need
• Holiday commitment: must be available for 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Free parking on site
• Scrub color: Royal Blue (L&D/OR scrubs provided)

Required Certifications

• ACLS, BLS, NRP
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring *(hard stop — must hold prior to submission)*

Clinical Requirements

• Minimum 1.5 years L&D experience (2 years preferred)
• Must perform sterile vaginal exams independently without supervision *(hard stop)*
• Obstetrical required *(hard stop)*
• Competency in: labor support, cervical assessment, external/internal fetal monitoring, IUPC placement, Pitocin/Magnesium Sulfate/antihypertensive drips, C-section circulating and scrub, postpartum hemorrhage management, newborn assessment, and couplet care

Licensing

• Active compact RN license required at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted

All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront. Post-offer RTO requests may not be honored.
