Registered Nurse

Emergency Room RN — Night Shift | Asheville, NC

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks | Start Date: July 23, 2026

Shift: 18:45–07:15

This high-volume Emergency Department serves a diverse, multicultural community in western North Carolina. The unit manages a broad acuity mix — including behavioral health holds, cardiac emergencies, and stroke patients — with strong support staff including ED techs covering cardiac monitoring and internal processing, as well as unit clerks on both day and night shifts.

Schedule & Float

• Every other weekend required
• No block scheduling; scheduling meets departmental needs
• Float within the ED only (all sections of the department)

Required Certifications (all must be current prior to start):

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC (required within 90 days of hire)

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an emergency department
• Experience in a high-volume ED environment strongly preferred
• Comfort working across all areas of the ED (, cardiac monitoring, behavioral holds, etc.)
• Strong teamwork orientation; ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback

Patient Experience Standards:

• AIDET framework, respectful patient interactions, and consistent board updates throughout each visit

Dress Code: Navy scrubs
