ICU Registered Nurse — Travel Contract

Louisville, KY | Night Shift | 15 Weeks

Join a fast-paced, high-acuity ICU caring for a complex critical care population in a primary care nurse model, supported by a dedicated resource nurse to assist with patient care and procedures.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required

Patient Population & Clinical Scope

This ICU manages critically ill patients across a broad acuity spectrum, with a heavy focus on neuro and neurosurgical cases, renal patients requiring CRRT, cardiac patients (including intra-aortic balloon pump management), and respiratory/ventilator-dependent patients. RNs must be comfortable titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips (vasopressors, antihypertensives, hypertonic saline) and interpreting telemetry strips.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of acute ICU RN experience
• Ability to titrate vasoactive medications independently
• Telemetry strip interpretation
• CRRT familiarity helpful
• Diploma, ASN, or BSN accepted

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active RN license (Kentucky or compact)
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Additional Details

• Scrub color: Galaxy blue (not provided)
• Local rate differential will apply
• Contract duration: 15 weeks
