Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU – RN

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced pediatric cardiovascular nurse for a 13-week contract in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU. This is a nights position: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.

Clinical Scope

You'll provide specialized care to neonatal, pediatric, and young adult patients with congenital heart disease, post-surgical repairs, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplants, and VADs. Patient ratios vary by acuity: 1:1 for ICU-level patients, 1:2 depending on acuity, and 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU overflow assignments.

Requirements

• Minimum 18 months of Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU experience
• Current RN license
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required
• 36 guaranteed hours per week

Onboarding

You'll complete facility-specific assessments including specialty and EKG exams, core competencies, and required health screenings (vaccinations, TB testing, drug screen, background check, and credentialing verification).
