Med Surg Tele RN | Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit on the night shift (7 PM–7 AM). You'll provide comprehensive care to adult patients with a range of medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, treatment, and monitoring
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs; identify and respond to changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, including cardiac drips as applicable
• Manage pre- and post-operative care, wound care, and pain management
• Coordinate care for patients with chronic and acute conditions (diabetes, cardiac, respiratory diagnoses)
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on care planning and discharge coordination
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
• Ensure infection control and fall prevention protocols are followed

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky (or compact license as applicable)
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification required
• 1+ years of Med Surg Telemetry experience
• Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency
• ADN or ASN (BSN preferred)

Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 7 PM–7 AM
• Weekend and holiday coverage as needed
• 13-week contract
• Start date: October 5, 2026
