Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Telemetry

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit. You'll provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs continuously; recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments, including cardiac drips, per physician orders
• Perform pre- and post-operative care, including wound care and pain management
• Coordinate care for patients with chronic and acute conditions (cardiac, respiratory, diabetes, and others)
• Conduct patient and family education on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with physicians, cardiologists, case managers, and the interdisciplinary team on care planning and discharge
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the medical record
• Ensure infection control and fall prevention protocols are consistently followed
• Typically manage 4–6 patients per shift, depending on acuity and unit staffing

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license (or compact license as applicable)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1+ years of Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience
• Demonstrated competency in telemetry and EKG interpretation
• ADN or ASN; BSN preferred

Schedule

• 3 shifts per week: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Weekends and holidays as needed
• 13-week contract
• Start date: October 5, 2026
