Radiation Therapist – Radiation Oncology

Position Overview

The facility's Radiation Oncology department is seeking a Radiation Therapist for an 8-week contract. You'll work day shift (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM), Monday through Friday, with no weekend or holiday requirements.

Clinical Scope

You'll deliver advanced treatment techniques including IMRT, IGRT, SRS, and SBRT to a mixed adult and pediatric patient population. Daily responsibilities include treating approximately 25 patients per linear accelerator (50 total) and managing 6–9 CT simulation patients. You'll collaborate directly with on-site Radiation Oncologists and work as a supervisory or lead technologist within the department.

Requirements

• Current BLS Certification
• ARRT Certified Radiation Therapist (T)
• West Virginia state license
• Proficiency with Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators and Varian ARIA Oncology Information System
• Strong experience in IMRT, IGRT, SRS, and SBRT techniques

What to Expect

• No floating to other departments
• No IV starts required
• Department-specific orientation provided
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Gray scrubs
• Flexible scheduling options: 5×8-hour or 4×10-hour shifts
