MRI Technologist | Travel Contract | Newark, NY

Shift: Tuesday–Friday, 10:30 AM–8:30 PM (4x10-hour days)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: Late September 2026

No call, no weekends, no holidays.

About the Role

This MRI Tech travel position is based in an active radiology department serving a diverse patient population — adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics — with approximately 20 patient visits per day. Float within the facility is required.

Clinical Scope

You'll perform a broad range of MRI studies, including:

• Brain, cranial nerves, orbits, and spinal imaging (cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacrum/coccyx)
• Abdomen, chest, pelvis (male and female), and musculoskeletal exams
• Advanced techniques: MRA, MRV, MRCP, CINE (CSF flow), diffusion, perfusion, spectroscopy, and multiplanar reconstruction
• Contrast preparation and administration, including starting peripheral IVs
• PACS image management and radiation safety protocols

Patient care settings supported include adult and pediatric acute care, outpatient, and ED/trauma contexts.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MRI experience
• Active NY State License required at time of submission
• ARRT (R), MRI Certification, and BLS required
• Experience with electronic charting is a hard requirement
• First-time travelers welcome
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible
