CT Technologist – High-Volume Imaging Department
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced CT Technologist for a high-volume, fast-paced imaging department serving a primary stroke receiving center. You'll perform 30–40+ scans per 12-hour shift in a busy acute care setting.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 3x12-hour shifts (6:00 AM–6:30 PM or 8:00 AM–8:30 PM)
- Self-scheduling based on seniority
- Voluntary shifts available outside contracted hours, including nights and weekends (indicate interest in your application)
- Weekend coverage required; may exceed every other weekend per unit needs
- Holiday commitment: Must work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Contract duration: 18 weeks
- Start date: ASAP
Clinical Scope
This department handles adult and pediatric patients across emergency, acute care, and outpatient populations. You'll perform routine and advanced imaging including head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, vascular, and specialty procedures (CTA, perfusion studies, drainage, biopsy assistance). Transport support is available; technologists are encouraged to assist when needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years CT experience (community hospital background preferred)
- Current BLS, ARRT certification, and California CRT license
- Compact license in hand at submission
- Proficiency with 64-slice GE and Toshiba scanners
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Guaranteed hours with one call-off permitted per two-week pay period
