Emergency Department RN – Night Shift
Position Overview
Join a high-volume Emergency Department as a night shift RN. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment managing diverse patient populations across all age groups—from neonates to geriatrics—with approximately 310 daily visits.
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-Hour Nights: 19:00–07:30
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: ASAP
- Weekend Coverage: Yes, per department needs
- No on-call requirement
- No floating requirement
Requirements
- Minimum 2.5 years experience in a Level II trauma center
- Large-volume ER experience (90,000+ annual visits)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
- CA License: in hand at time of application
- Current reference within the last 2 years
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions available)
Clinical Scope
You'll manage acute and trauma cases, including neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, gunshot wounds, and stroke-certified patients. Advanced skills required include arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, IV vasopressor administration, procedural sedation monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation.
