Medical-Surgical Telemetry | Charge RN | Adaptive Acuity Unit

Springfield, VT | Nights | 13-Week Contract

This is an adaptive acuity unit where nurses must be prepared to flex between medical-surgical telemetry and progressive care as patient census and acuity demand. PCU-level care assignments are non-negotiable and an expected part of this role.

Shift & Schedule

  • 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 12-hour nights
  • 36-hour weekly guarantee
  • Every other weekend required; holiday coverage required (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year blocks)
  • Maximum 5 days of requested time off; all RTO must be submitted at the time of application

Clinical Requirements

  • Charge Nurse experience is mandatory — candidates without it will not be considered
  • Active drip management required: insulin, esmolol, and sodium drips
  • Must be willing to float to any inpatient unit within scope of practice
  • Personal vehicle required

Required Experience & Credentials

  • 2+ years of current Med-Surg/Telemetry experience
  • Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience strongly required
  • ICU experience strongly preferred
  • Minimum 3 months of prior travel nursing experience (non-negotiable)
  • Vermont RN license or Compact license
  • Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Current skills checklists (Med-Surg, Telemetry, PCU) — within the past year
  • One supervisory reference from within the past two years
