Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse for the night shift. You'll work three 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and direct and coordinate patient care delivery for a diverse patient population including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process
• Develop care plans in partnership with physicians, team members, patients, and families
• Coordinate with the patient care team to deliver quality care consistent with state standards
• Communicate effectively with medical staff and personnel across the hospital
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to hospital policies, advance directives, and ADA standards
• Function independently while promoting collaborative teamwork

Required Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Maine or Authorization to Practice pending licensure by endorsement
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (must be obtained within 6 months of hire if not current)
• Strong assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently
